about tonight’s debate quickly becomes a NY Times news article on tonight’s debate.

It’s clear that dozens of reporters have been doing this, but it’s remarkable to see being done in real time.

I once attended a seminar put on for executives by leading newsmen in Seattle.  Their bottom line lesson for attendees was that reporters are essentially lazy, and they love nothing better than the pre-written script that makes their work easy. 

So perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised to see partisan reporters feasting on the pre-scripted talking points they get either directly from the Obama campaign or second hand from the hard left blogs, which traffic in Obama produced “astroturf”.

That mangled body you see smack in the middle of the Presidential campaign is the rotting corpse of American journalism.
